Schools with a travel plan that meets the government minimum standards are eligible to receive a government capital grant to allow them to undertake school travel projects identified within their travel plan. Primary schools can receive £3750 plus £5 per pupil while Secondary schools can receive £5000 plus £5 per pupil (there are certain variations to these amounts depending on the type of school).
Schools will receive the funds straight from central government through the usual process of "Devolved Formula Capital". This can only be used in quantities above a minimum level.
