Traffic education
There are a number of initiatives which involve the teaching of road safety to young people. The road safety team encourages and supports traffic education undertaken by teachers in Primary, Middle and High School children, as well as for pre-school groups and parents. The team also runs the county's cyclist training scheme.
They are assisted by colleagues in the police and fire service. The fire service runs Learn & Live and RoadKill courses.
