*Are you a young driver or do you have a young driver in the family?*
Get in Gear is a course being offered by Suffolk County Council for young drivers aged between 17 and 19. The course aims to give newly qualified drivers the skills to cope with driving independently and to reduce the chances of being involved in a crash.
PLEASE NOTE: TAXI COURSES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE THROUGH SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL.
In a bid to reduce the number of killed and serious injury collisions involving young drivers the Suffolk RoadSafe Partnership is joining with the County’s Approved Driving Instructors in launching the award winning road safety project 'The Honest Truth'.
This is a scheme for the over 60’s which has been designed to help you keep driving safely for longer.
If you employ anyone who drives as a part of their job, or if you are an employee who has to drive for work, even driving isn’t the main part of your job, then you might be able to take advantage of our We Mean Business initiatives across Suffolk.
As more and more people take up cycling for sport, for fun, and for health, there has been an explosion in the numbers of riders who join a club and take part in group rides. Riders need to ensure that they stay safe and follow the highway code; drivers need to be aware of what cyclists are doing, and know how to deal with them. Everyone needs to ensure they work together to stay safe and to share the road harmoniously.
