| As usual this autumn Junior Road Safety Officers will be trying to get the 'Be Safe, Be Seen' message in to their schools.
It is important that all children using bicycles are aware of the need to use and look after their bicycle lights, and that pedestrians and cyclists also make sure that they can be clearly seen by other road users, by using reflective items and light or bright clothing.
A really great way of sharing this message with your school is to run a 'Brightness Day'
'Brightness Day' is a non-uniform day where pupils (and teachers) wear bright clothing and reflective items! The whole day can be themed to share the 'Be Safe, Be Seen' message with assemblies, displays/noticeboards, lessons and competitions.
The road safety team are able to send you a prize pack, activity sheets and other information to help your day go well.
If you want to join in please email us with your school name and the number of pupils taking part at: jrso@et.suffolkcc.gov.uk |
