Once you've been given your badge and certificate it's good for you to get started by doing a short talk in an assembly.
Once you have carefully planned what you want to say, practice it. Speak to your teacher, or teaching assistant to arrange a suitable time, and run through what you are going to say.
You'll find some JRSO 'Assembly notes' here you can print off to help you.
It's good if you can talk in assembly or class groups regularly to let every one know what you're doing and continue to pass on news about competitions and how to keep safe on the roads.
If you need any posters to show when doing talks contact your Area Road Safety Officer.
The more you do talks the more confident you will feel...so get started, and have fun! Download (PDF)
